The Next Generation of Faith

RElogoRegeneration Church – the next generation of Faith!

new life ■ new hope ■ God’s grace

Regeneration Church is a church that is alive – where new life is evident.

Regeneration Church seeks to lead all people into new life and new hope by God’s grace through faith.

Regeneration is (Merriam Webster):

  1. the act or process of regenerating, renewal, restoration, and growth or the state of being regenerated
  2. regeneration of parts or, in some cases, nearly the entire body of an organism from a part
  3. forming again (especially with improvements or removal of defects); renewing and reconstituting
  4. spiritual or moral revival or rebirth or renewal

Why regeneration?

We acknowledge that we went through a painful process a few years back, a process where we have witnessed God purge and begin to renew, restore, even rebuild the next generation of Faith with improvements – a ‘forming again.’ You can sense it! You can feel it! You can visibly see it! The atmosphere, the energy, the excitement, the enthusiasm, the desire, the willingness, and spirit of people, most notably on Sunday mornings and in conversation.

How will this regeneration be demonstrated?

  •  A. Renewed opportunities. Already, regenerated individuals in the next generation of Faith are responding to God’s grace – serving in: leadership; management; labor; teaching; learning; giving; fellowship… in the coming year, look for continued and increased opportunities!
  • B. Rebranding. Definition: Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, and competitors. Often, this involves radical changes to a brand’s logo, name, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate.”

Regeneration demonstrated by rebranding: new name, signs, website, social media presence, advertisements, etc.

The proposed name change – Regeneration Church – will be formally adopted at the annual meeting scheduled for November 3rd. This is not a change in denominational affiliation. We are a Lutheran Church and are part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. It is simply a way to acknowledge the next generation of Faith, as the definition describes, “reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket…”

Why Regeneration Church?

  •  A. To give ourselves as a church every opportunity to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ. To give our church a new face, removing ‘mainline’ barriers, showing that our greatest desire as a church is for people to find the love of an incredible God who could CHANGE. THEIR. LIVES. An incredible God who can regenerate a church and regenerate individuals.
  •  B. To take advantage of the spirit, excitement, and energy that is ‘forming again;’ to place a monumental stamp and symbol on our ‘spiritual rebirth’ as a church; to celebrate the next generation of Faith.
